The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time). Pay Range: $77,230.40 - $100,942.40 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Position Overview SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job) The Project Manager – Construction manages and implements assigned construction and renovation projects from initial planning through project closeout, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget and in accordance with organizational, regulatory and safety requirements. This role oversees all phases of project development, including pre-construction planning, estimating, budgeting, contract administration, construction coordination and occupancy logistics. The Project Manager – Construction also serves as the primary liaison between end users, contractors, consultants, landlords and internal departments, coordinating project activities and evaluating vendor performance to ensure successful project delivery. Additionally, the role develops and maintains project standards for space planning, furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes and operational requirements and supports strategic planning initiatives for facility development and renovation projects. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s degree. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree. PMP certification preferred. Experience: Two years of construction/renovation project development, estimating and management experience when accompanied by a Bachelor’s degree. Six years of construction/renovation project development, estimating and management experience when accompanied by a high school diploma or equivalent. Other Credentials: Driver's License Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of the full construction project management lifecycle. Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprint schematics, construction drawings and design specifications. Functional experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Newforma, Bluebeam, etc.). Working familiarity with commercial bidding, procurement and vendor contract administration. Proven data management and analysis skills related to budgeting, project estimating and cost forecasting. Professional proficiency with the full Microsoft Office suite of applications and Smartsheet project management platforms. High level of comfort navigating cloud-based project databases and electronic document control systems. Demonstrated ability to share information clearly and professionally, whether in writing or through verbal updates to teams and vendors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Evaluate existing and prospective hospital properties to identify structural construction risks and facility infrastructure limitations Develop project scopes, programming metrics, space layouts, preliminary budgets, and baseline schedules for proposed construction and renovation projects Design multi-phase construction staging plans, complex relocation logistics, furniture/equipment moves and final occupancy coordination profiles Collaborate with teams from Finance, Legal and Supply Chain to prepare conceptual estimates, cost analyses, formal bid packages and project procurement records Leverage current market knowledge, historical project data and construction expertise to execute appropriate bidding workflows, including subcontractor solicitation, comprehensive bid leveling, scope comparisons and formal award recommendations Review, interpret and manage digital blueprints, technical shop drawings and engineering documents Administer construction contracts, vendor agreements, structural change orders and technical design specifications Oversee master project schedules, baseline budgets, document control tracking and subcontractor scheduling logs Coordinate all on-site construction phases to enforce safety regulations, build efficiency and healthcare compliance mandates Coordinate temporary construction-related work orders with internal maintenance departments, facility mechanics and clinical end-users Monitor general contractor and vendor field performance against contract deadlines, approved budgets and building quality standards Maintain accurate electronic project records, including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, daily logs and punch lists Analyze project control tracking data to actively flag schedule slip risks and potential budget overruns Generate routine cost reports, schedule progress charts, cash-flow forecasting metrics and executive project status updates Audit and approve technical vendor invoices, formal applications for payment and line-item change order requests Reconcile contractor invoice billing discrepancies in partnership with Procurement and Accounts Payable Prepare final project closeout reports evaluating overall budget performance, schedule adherence and operational lessons learned Perform other duties as assigned.
