About the Opportunity:

• Relentlessly work to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture as well as Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) goals. • Meet with students who are at-risk for retention each marking period and, if appropriate, formulate a plan of action for academic success with the involvement of the student and parent/guardian; • Plan and/or promote progrS upporams which enhance the academic, social or emotional growth of students, e.g., Curriculum Fair, Career Fair, Underclass Honors Assembly, Honors Program, graduation, opportunities for student enrichment and/or remediation, scholarship opportunities and parent informational programs; • Meet with eighth grade students once each semester and mailing updates on their promotion status to their parents; • Assist students with the completion of high school admissions applications; • Support the educational and behavioral goals of all students, including those with an Individualized Education Plan or those learning English as a second language. • Work in conjunction with the Director of Academics, Parent Liaison, and Dean of Students with students who are referred for discipline, attendance and academic challenges. • Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues. • Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms. • C
