Well Test Assistant Operator

Welltest Assistant Operator, Grade 1-5, Aberdeen A vacancy has arisen within the Surface & Environmental Department in Aberdeen for an Assistant Operator, reporting to the Operations Manager. The purpose of the job is to organise equipment in all aspects of the "on site" operations in accordance with the clients agreed programme and contractual requirements, delivering high quality, safe and efficient operations in an offshore environment. The principal accountabilities of the position are to: Take reasonable care to prevent harm to themselves, others or the environment that may be caused by their omissions. Successfully operate and have sufficient working knowledge of Welltest equipment that you are required to use. Ensure equipment is rigged up, pressure tested, function tested and ESD system thoroughly function tested prior to operations commencing. Collect data, accurately and present professionally, to achieve a high quality report for the Client. Pack and load out equipment in a correct and efficient manner. Assist with other Expro Group Services as required. Report any hazardous defects in plant, equipment and workplace, or shortcomings in the existing controls, to a responsible person without delay. Carry out Risk Assessments for any equipment or tasks not presently covered in the Expro Risk Assessment Manual. Refrain from misusing or recklessly interfering with anything that has provided for health, safety and environment reasons. Work in accordance with information and training provided. Communicate to Line Supervisors/Managers any concerns, suggestions, ideas and improvements. Assist in the base, creating reports, packing kits etc, when required. Compile end of job report to required standard in a timely and efficient manner. Remain fully informed on software changes, tool upgrades and recent operational problems. Establish and maintain a good rapport with onsite client representatives. Be available for overseas work when required. Be available for work at short notice when required.
