About the role
We are looking for skilled BUSSERS to join the Sunnyside team! The starting rate is $16.90/hr plus tips (The combined rate is ~$20-$28/hour). No previous work or restaurant experience is required! This is an entry-level position with opportunity to learn and advance into other service roles. Availability requirements: We are especially looking for candidates with full time and weekend availability through the summer (ending September 30) . Please have tentative start date and end date available during interview process. Must have at least three days of availability. At least two days of weekend availability is preferred (Friday-Sunday). Holiday Party Legacy of Aloha Scholarship Program POSITION SUMMARY Assist Servers in providing the highest level of quality and service to our guests by being responsible for all preparation, interaction and steps of service needed to exceed guest expectations in the restaurant. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Assist in preparing restaurant for dining service by setting up section, including polishing and preparing items such as linens, silverware, and glassware before they go to the floor and assisting at setting them at the table. Greet all guests and co-workers in a warm, personal, friendly manner. Assist Service Team as needed by removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters throughout guests’ meal, and take them to kitchen for cleaning. After guest has finished dining, prepare table by clearing and cleaning table and resetting for next guest. Assist guests with any requests or concerns and take action to correct any problems. Stock service areas with supplies such as tableware and linens throughout service period. Assist in removing trash from full receptacles and replacing liner. Take extra care to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness in each duty performed. Stock service areas with supplies as required. Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding scheduling and attendance. Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns; personal, employee or guest injury. Follow food safety program guidelines of handwashing, bare hands, hygiene and health.
