About the role
Job Title Electronics & Electrical Engineer – Robotics (Oil & Gas Asset Integrity) Key Responsibilities Robotic Development: Design, develop, and integrate electronic systems, sensors, and power systems into robotic crawlers and inspection platforms. Electronics Troubleshooting: Perform diagnostics, circuit troubleshooting, and maintenance of existing inspection robots. Field Deployment: Support field deployment, on-site commissioning, and operation of robotic NDT equipment at refineries, offshore platforms, and tank farms. Sensor Calibration: Work closely with NDT technicians to calibrate ultrasonic, acoustic, and visual sensors to accurately detect flaws and corrosion. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all electronic and electrical designs comply with hazardous environment safety standards (e.g., ATEX/PESO certifications). Technical Documentation: Prepare test reports, schematic designs, and system performance logs for cross-functional review. Qualifications & Requirements Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Experience: 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, embedded systems, or oil & gas instrumentation. Hardware & Programming: Proficiency in working with microcontrollers and development boards (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32) and associated motor drivers. Communication Protocols: Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, RS-485, and Ethernet. Physical & Field Requirements: Must be comfortable working in industrial environments and supporting site inspections, which may require travel. NDT Familiarity: Prior experience or willingness to learn NDT methodologies (e.g., Ultrasonic Testing) and industry codes is a strong plus).
