About the role

POSITION OVERVIEW As a Director, Business Development Oil & Gas you will combine exceptional sales skills in complex selling at the Sr. and Chief Engineer levels within the Oil & Gas market, with the ability to understand and translate the customer needs into deliverable solutions. You will therefore be a key influencer in the development of future product strategies and have a direct impact on our business direction as you drive the sales of our solutions and product offerings into new market areas within the upstream oil and gas domain. Responsible for strategic account development, proposing and presenting our solutions and closing the sales of major, service contracts and software solutions, this represents a significant opportunity for an ambitious individual who excels in exceeding their sales quota to join the leader of Advanced Process Modeling Software and Services. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Successfully identify, develop and win deep and complex service and consultative solution sales, to drive the future business direction of our product strategy into new markets within the oil and gas domain. Opportunity development – develop, propose and drive a Business Development strategy (including event and consortium participation) that will consolidate and extend our thought leadership in Advanced Process Modeling for the principal US Oil & Gas communities and technical networks. Account development - building long-term strategic relationships at the Sr. and Chief Engineer level while engaging tactically within divisional or departmental groups to develop new business opportunities and successfully close business. Identify medium to long term customer problems and business issues, translating these into opportunities to be able to propose effective solutions that provide a definite ROI and deliver improvements to our customer’s business processes. Research, identify and build relationships with the key stakeholders in target organizations; ultimately driving the growth of new business. Drive successful contract negotiations to maximize value. Accurately forecast sales pipeline and consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales target by continually winning new business and developing and maintaining exist accounts. Deliver superior customer service, following up with the customers on a regular basis. Perform in a team environment and co-ordinate with other departments to achieve high sales targets and maintain customer satisfaction levels Confidently predict and articulate the needs of your customers to the Executive team to enable these requirements to be translated into long term strategic deliverable solutions Directly impact the business by driving the success of major strategic accounts within the Americas QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS A verifiable successful track record of quota attainment selling deep and complex service contracts and products to the upstream oil and gas markets with an emphasis on safety related operations. Highly competent at managing and developing strong strategic relationships with large, complex oil and gas operating companies with a network of reliable industry contacts that will quickly develop into contracts. 7 – 10 years’ experience in selling technical service contracts and/or software solutions to upstream Oil & Gas operating companies with a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry and its medium to long term business challenges in order to propose effective strategic solutions for their future direction and growth.
