About the role

Position Overview: As a Fleet Parts Clerk you are responsible for managing inventory and parts for diesel engines and related equipment. Responsibilities: • Tracking inventory levels, ordering parts and maintaining stock records to ensure an adequate supply of diesel engine parts and accessories • Identifying different types of diesel engine parts and components, including filters, gaskets, pistons, valves and more • Receiving orders from internal and external customers, verifying part numbers and processing orders accurately and efficiently • Organizing parts in the maintenance department to maximize efficiency and accessibility – including but not limited to labeling, shelving, and proper storage techniques • Inspecting incoming parts for quality and accuracy ensuring that they meet the specifications and standards before being added as active inventory • Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels by doing cycle counts, orders, and transactions using the inventory management software/systems in place • Assisting technicians with parts requests, troubleshooting parts related issues and recommending alternative part solutions when warranted • Participating in quality assurance programs for consistent adherence to industry safety standards • Assist in cleaning and maintaining a safe working environment in the fleet department • Flexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidays • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership Environment: • Warehouse Fleet Shop Environment - approx. 50F – 90F Schedule: • Sunday - Thursday • 1:00pm - 9:30pm • Weekend availability as needed by the business Compensation: • $24.00 per hour • $3.00 shift differential Experience: • Preferred: One (1) years technical experience • Preferred: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite; CMMS etc Skills: • Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift • Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs. however there could be times of 100lbs of force is required; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature environments; the ability to operate required equipment – getting on and off equipment throughout shift; using hand tools and job specific equipment • Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis • Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines • Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality • Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives
