Role Summary We are seeking a Senior Vice President , Counterparty Management & Administration (“CMA”), to lead that team and join our Legal Operations team. CMA is responsible for facilitating counterparty onboarding, trading documentation, KYC, tax documentation, regulatory reporting set-up, and other operational pipeline matters required to establish and maintain trading relationships with our counterparties for a broad range of clients and products. This team plays a critical role in ensuring accounts are fully trade-ready prior to launch by coordinating the legal, regulatory, and operational requirements necessary to enable trading across asset classes. This includes establishing trading relationships with counterparties, amending, and maintaining trade documentation, coordinating onboarding requirements, and partnering across Portfolio Management, Account Management, Transitions, Collateral Management, Legal, Compliance, Trading, Operations, and Tax to ensure seamless account launches and trading readiness. The CMA manager will lead and oversee complex, multi-party onboarding and counterparty management initiatives, acting as a key decision-maker and escalation point across internal stakeholders and external counterparties. The role has global coverage across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, and is responsible for leading a team of direct reports, including offshore and outsourced resources. This role is highly hands-on, requiring deep expertise in trading documentation, counterparty onboarding, account launch readiness, and related operational processes. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and sound judgment across products, legal structures, and onboarding workflows while operating under challenging timelines. In addition to strategy, execution, and team leadership, the individual will be responsible for strengthening onboarding processes, driving scalability, improving transparency, and strengthening controls across the function. This will require knowledge of industry solutions, experience in building out proprietary systems and creative solutions using AI. Location New York, NY Responsibilities The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Counterparty Onboarding & Documentation Lead and own the global end-to-end trading counterparty onboarding process across products, strategies, and account structures Assess trading requirements and ensure proper documentation, legal agreements, and operational setup are in place prior to trading Oversee setup, negotiation, and maintenance of counterparty agreements, ISDA, CSA, MSFTA, GMRA/MRA, and other documentation, such as clearing and PB agreements Ensure alignment between account structure, legal documentation, regulatory requirements and intended trading activity Resolve onboarding, documentation, and operational issues that may impact launch timelines or trading readiness Tax, KYC & Regulatory Coordination Ensure required tax documentation and onboarding requirements are completed accurately and on a timely basis, supporting both initial setup and ongoing maintenance Coordinate and monitor ongoing investigations and resolution of withholding tax issues to mitigate operating and trading impacts Oversee KYC / AML / Counterparty Due Diligence requirements to support their onboarding needs and related refresh processes for our accounts Facilitate applicable regulatory reporting set up requirements Stakeholder Management & Execution Orchestrate execution across global teams and time zones, ensuring seamless coordination, clear ownership, and continuity of onboarding activities Foster coordination across internal teams, including Portfolio Management, Account Management, Transitions, Collateral Management, Legal, Compliance, Trading, Operations, and Tax, and external counterparties Act as primary escalation point for complex onboarding issues, documentation gaps, and timeline risks engaging senior management as needed Manage counterparty relationships and ensure onboarding milestones are achieved in support of fund launch and trading timelines Develop deep partnerships with counterparties to drive solutions that will expedite the onboarding process Team Leadership & Oversight Lead, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports. providing oversight, prioritization, quality control, and performance management. Oversee offshore and outsourced resources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of services Establish clear operating standards, accountability measures, and service level expectations across the function Data, Controls & Process Improvement Own and maintain counterparty meta data and onboarding records across internal and third-party platforms Ensure strong data quality, transparency, governance, and control standards Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvement initiatives focused on automation, workflow optimization, reporting enhancements, and industry onboarding solutions Drive initiatives that improve scalability, reduce operational risk, and enhance the overall onboarding experience Additional Responsibilities Support and/or lead ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives related to onboarding, trading readiness, operational enhancements, and process improvement Evaluate new technologies and industry solutions that improve efficiency, transparency, and scalability Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor’s degree Minimum of 10 years of professional experience at an asset manager, investment bank, broker-dealer, or investment advisor including all of the following: Counterparty onboarding and trading documentation at an asset manager or broker-dealer US Patriot Act. Know-Your-Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), or Account Due Diligence requirements (Dodd-Frank, EMIR reporting requirements, etc.) Industry onboarding and documentation platforms such as S&P Counterparty Manager, ISDA Amend, and FIA Tech DOCS, or similar systems Strong understanding of derivatives, financing, or trading transactions, sufficient to identify required documentation, collateral terms, and clearing arrangements. Deep knowledge of various trading agreements, including: ISDA Master Agreement and Credit Support Annex Master Repurchase Agreement/Global Master Repurchase Agreement (MRA/GMRA) Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreement (MSFTA) Prime Brokerage documentation Clearing agreements General knowledge and ongoing education about regulatory changes affecting derivatives, financing and related products. Experience onboarding counterparties across multiple regions, with knowledge of local market conventions, documentation standards, and operational nuances Experience supporting onboarding or operational workflows involving tax documentation and coordination with tax stakeholders, with an understanding of how these requirements impact account setup, counterparty onboarding, and trading readiness Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional processes involving Portfolio Ma
