About the role
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations while minimizing downtime. What you’re responsible for: Inspecting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools Performing routine and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment Repairing or replacing worn or damaged components, including hydraulic systems and electrical systems (12V/24V) Performing welding and metal fabrication repairs as needed Coordinating maintenance schedules with department managers to reduce downtime Maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records using the CMMS Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and procedures To join our team: You have 8–10 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment You have strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, cylinders, and electrical systems You have experience with welding and metal fabrication You can read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints You are comfortable working independently and in a team environment You are safety-focused and able to work in a fast-paced, industrial setting
