Position Summary The ATS Houston office is seeking a hands-on Lightning Protection Technician to support our growing Lightning Protection group. This is a field-focused position for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, working outdoors, and being part of a technical team. The Lightning Protection Technician will work alongside Project Managers, Consultants, Engineers, and other field personnel performing inspections, repairs, installations, testing, and retrofits of lightning protection systems on commercial buildings and industrial facilities. Our work includes air terminals, main conductors, down conductors, bonding connections, grounding electrodes, connectors, fittings, and other components associated with complete lightning protection systems. This is a strong opportunity for someone with construction, electrical, roofing, mechanical, maintenance, installation, or skilled-trade experience who wants to build a long-term technical career. Previous lightning protection experience is a plus, but we are also interested in strong hands-on candidates who are willing to learn.
